In large scale building fire, it is improper to predict smoke descending using traditional simpleIn this paper, an improved method, named Cell-Zone Method, is used to solve this problem, which firstComparison is carried out between these two methods in fire smoke development simulation in typical largeResults show that Cell-Zone Method demonstrates more applicability than traditional simple two-layerzone model in large scale building, especially in buildings having large scale in one direction.

A bench-scale laboratory cell of 100 A was tested using cryolite-alumina electrolyte at 960℃ in a>2O3 cermet inert anode of 120 mm×80 mm×15 mm.The anode gas consisted of 98%〜99% O2 which was analyzed with an Orsat apparatus.After 10 hour's electrolysis, the anode was only little corroded.of Al2O3 in the bath and the anode used was inert.
